1. Definitions
“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us” means Dundee Removals.
“Client”, “you”, “your” means the person hiring our services.
“Services” means removals, transport, packing, skip runs, or any ancillary work.
“Goods” means items you ask us to move or handle.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By instructing us to perform Services, you accept and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
3. Quotations & Pricing
• We provide a written or emailed quote based on the information you supply.
• The quote is valid for a limited time, as stated.
• Extra costs may apply if the actual job is more difficult than described.
• We charge in GBP inclusive of any applicable VAT.
• Waiting time due to client delays is charged at £40 per van per hour.
4. Payment
• A deposit may be required before the job.
• The balance is payable on completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We Accept Only Cash Payments and bank transfer.
• If payment is late, we reserve the right to charge interest or refuse further services.
5. Changes & Cancellation
• You may change the date, time, or services required with notice.
• Cancellation is free if made at least 48 hours before the scheduled date.
• If cancellation is less than 24 hours before the job, the deposit is non-refundable.
• If work is already in progress, you will pay for work done and resources deployed.
6. Access & Client Obligations
You must:
• Provide safe, legal access to pickup and drop-off locations.
• Disclose difficulties (stairs, narrow doors, parking restrictions).
• Pack or prepare goods unless we agree to carry out packing.
• Be present or provide someone to coordinate with us on site.
7. Risk & Insurance
• Risk of loss or damage passes to you when Goods are loaded, unless damage is our fault.
• We carry standard insurance for removal operations.
• You should ensure you have adequate insurance for high-value items.
• Notify us in writing of any damage or loss within 24 hours of delivery.
8. Liability
• We are liable only for direct damage or loss caused by our negligence, up to the insured limit.
• We are not liable for loss of value, consequential loss, indirect loss, or delay.
• We are not liable for damage due to packing you provided or items not declared properly.
9. Delays & Force Majeure
• We aim to meet the schedule.
• We accept no liability for delays caused by events beyond our control.
• In such cases, we will reschedule or adjust services reasonably.
10. Disputes
• Any dispute must be submitted to us in writing within 24 hours from completion.
• We will try to resolve in good faith.
• If unresolved, both parties may refer the dispute to arbitration or small claims court in Scotland.
11. Intellectual Property
All text, images, and trademarks on our website remain our property. You may not copy or use them without permission.
12. Amendments
We may amend these Terms. We will post updated versions on our website. The new version applies from its posting date for future services.
13. Severability
If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in force.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Scottish law. The courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
